One of the most difficult tasks, but cost-saving measures, of owning a laundromat is the ability to do your own maintenance and repairs. When easily prevented maintenance issues occur regularly, it can lead to a dramatic drop in a machine’s longevity. In the long-term, downtime means lost revenue and frustrated customers. Therefore, all self-service laundry owners should make it a point to familiarize themselves with common maintenance issues and basic repairs. Attend this webinar to learn preventative measures that can reduce and even eliminate maintenance issues to increase the overall efficiency of your operations while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Russ Arbuckle
As a 32-year veteran of the laundry industry, Russ has accumulated a vast knowledge base of all phases of our industry. This includes vended laundries, in-house on-premise laundries, as well as large automated industrial laundries.
His first job in the industry was as a service technician with a small parts and service company, Telematic Company Inc. that serviced predominately domestic household laundry equipment. The company then began to focus on the commercial side, including vended and on-premise laundries. As he progressed from service to installations and then to sales, the company owner, who also owned several very successful laundromats, gave him a great education on what makes a successful laundromat. From location, demographics, equipment mix, visibility and all the other pieces of that puzzle, Russ was able to build some of the largest most successful stores for customers in our market. He has also owned and operated 6 different stores, and still owns 4, with 2 being existing stores they purchased and rehabbed and 4 being new locations. The stores range in size from 2,400 to 5,000 square feet and all have been extremely successful operations.
Daniel Marrazzo is a life-long resident of Bucks County who started in the construction business after graduating from The Military College of Vermont (Norwich University) in 1977. He started working for residential clients doing renovations, which later grew to a larger company doing multi-million dollar commercial centers and health clubs. While building several commercial laundries, he decided to diversify into the laundry business, building six stores and presently owning and operating four in both Bucks and Mercer counties. Many real estate projects have found him owning and managing several residential, commercial and industrial properties. Among them are two 35,000 square foot shopping centers. Marrazzo no longer builds for the public, but has several construction projects running of his own. He recently finished his fifth store in Burlington, N.J.
Dan sits on the Commissioners Committee for Economic Development in Bucks County, as well as the Properties Committee Chairman for the Washington Crossing Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He is a frustrated cook and golfer, and hosts a yearly Christmas dinner for a hundred homeless people in his warehouse in Penndel, preparing the meal along with his son and other volunteers.
Ken Barrett started in the coin laundry industry in 2010 and became a multi-store owner that same year. He currently operates five 24-hour unattended locations in Alabama. One store is partially attended for the drop off, pick-up and delivery services, and commercial operations.
Ken has been a member of the CLA since 2009 and a Premier Laundry Owner for the past several years. He has contributed to articles in Planet Laundry every year since 2011, as well as hundreds of posts, videos and podcasts covering topics from marketing to repairs.
