Refreshed and Focused on What’s Next
Connect, learn, and advocate with CLA: the preeminent resource for laundromat professionals.
Who We Are
Established in 1960, CLA, formerly the Coin Laundry Association, is the largest trade association dedicated to the self-service laundry industry. Headquartered in Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., CLA is a national not-for-profit trade organization and our members include laundry owners, prospective laundry owners, equipment distributors, service providers and manufacturers. CLA is guided by a Board of Directors and a professional staff.
Over the past 60+ years, CLA has helped thousands of laundry operators get the most from their businesses. By working together, the laundry industry can continue to grow in size, quality, profitability and service to the public.
In 2006, CLA started the LaundryCares Foundation to give back to the communities that have supported the self-service laundry industry. LaundryCares was established as a charitable 501(c)3 foundation, with the mission of providing laundry services and education to those in need. The continued success of the LaundryCares Foundation comes from those who support our mission by volunteering their time, donating and hosting free Laundry Day events.
In 2024, the Coin Laundry Association rebranded as CLA to reflect its dedication to staying current and helping the vended laundry community do the same. CLA represents our core values to our members and the industry of Connect, Learn, Advocate. Additionally, our refreshed tagline, “the preeminent resource for laundry professionals,” speaks to ourunwavering commitment to provide valuable and tangible resources to our members.
Our Mission
The mission of CLA is to be the preeminent resource in the laundry industry by providing laundry professionals with the connectivity, advocacy, education and unbiased industry research required to succeed.
