A New Name, the Same Commitment
After 17 years of building trust across the West, Continental Girbau West is stepping into its next chapter with a name that finally matches the company it has become.
The Southern California-based distributor recently rebranded as Continental West — a cleaner, sharper identity that signals tighter alignment with Continental Laundry Solutions and a renewed focus on the markets it has served since the beginning. The company also marked the occasion with a move to a new facility in Cerritos, Calif., joining an existing office in Tempe, Ariz., as it continues expanding its footprint across Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico.
For Vice President Tod Sorensen, the decision to rebrand wasn’t complicated. “Changing from CG West to Continental West just made sense,” Sorensen said. “The simplified name is cleaner, easier to remember and better represents who we are — a trusted extension of Continental Laundry Solutions and a local partner our customers can rely on.”
The rebrand is less about reinvention and more about clarity. Continental West has long operated as a full-service partner to operators in the textile care, vended, on-premise and industrial laundry markets — offering everything from equipment selection and installation to financing, marketing support, technical training and a fully stocked parts department that services most makes and models. That comprehensive approach isn’t changing. The name is simply catching up to the reality of what the company already delivers.
“While our name has evolved, we’re still the same team our customers know and trust — just with a name that better reflects our growth and future direction,” Sorensen said.
It’s a subtle but meaningful move — the kind of evolution that mature, customer-focused businesses make when they’re building for the long haul. Continental West isn’t starting over. It’s doubling down.
