SUMMARY:Getting the Most Out of Your WDF & Commercial Accounts Employees
DESCRIPTION:  \nWith the strongest U.S. labor market in 50 years\, employers from nearly every industry are struggling to find and\, more importantly\, retain hourly workers. Finding employees who are a good fit for your business is not impossible\, but requires some effort and creativity. Some of the key factors that employees are looking for include: good compensation and benefits\, training\, autonomy\, flexibility\, recognition and support. As the employer\, you should have a good set of standard operating procedures and a training plan so there are clear expectations. Hear from three store owners with years of experience on how they got the most out of their employees so it was a win-win for both the employee and their business.\n\nSpeakers:\n– Paul Hansen\, Su Nueva Lavanderia\n– Dave Menz\, Queen City Laundry\n– Rita Foley\, Regency Cleaners\n\nThe cost to attend this program is $25 for members and $35 for non members. Premier members are free.\nEach person who registers will receive a recording of the program.\n[button link=”https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3751796872518970891″ type=”big” newwindow=”yes”] Register Here[/button] \nPanelist Bios:\n\n\nDave Menz is a passionate entrepreneur and the founder and owner of the Queen City Laundry Chain and Laundry Magician Pickup & Delivery Services in Cincinnati\, Ohio. He joined the laundry industry and the CLA in 2009. His chain of laundromats consists of 4 locations and his team is building their 5th location\, which will open in late 2019.\n\nHis team began as a one-man show in 2009 and has grown to a team of roughly 35 employees under the Queen City Laundry brand. Of the current locations\, one store is partially attended\, but does not offer a drop-off service. That store has a part time manager that is responsible for all aspects of the operations including managing a few part-time attendants.\n\nThe other 3 stores are all mostly attended with drop-off services available as well. Each of these locations has its own full time store manager on staff. Additionally\, the staff consists of 15 full- and part-time store attendants\, and 9 dedicated full-time laundry processors.\n\nThe Laundry Magician brand was launched in November 2016 and has rapidly grown to 3 trucks and 7 full- and part-time delivery drivers. There is also a full-time general manager that is responsible for all 4 stores\, the drop-off laundry services and all aspects of the delivery business.\n\nRita Foley is a first generation owner of Regency Cleaners in Durham\, N.C.\, which is a 6-store operation including 5 laundromats and valet routes. Regency Cleaners was established in 1984 with the intended design of an operation that was both heavy in coin laundry and the dry cleaning industry. She currently serves as the VP of Government Affairs of the North Carolina Association of Launderers and Cleaners\, and is a member of CLA and MfM. Rita is passionate about WDF service for customers and has spoken numerous times on the subject\, including two Clean Shows\, the NEFA convention and many webinars.\n\n \n\n \n\n.\n\n
